This project includes the visual redesign, exhibition scenography, and merchandise for the iconic book “Ukrainian Love Songs”, featuring original woodcuts by Vasyl Perevalskyi. Created for the International Book Arsenal Festival 2026 in Kyiv, the work connects graphic design and storytelling to recontextualize the visual heritage of the Ukrainian Sixtiers movement within a contemporary aesthetic.
The editorial focus centers on materiality and the tactile presence of analog craft. Through selected fine paper, blind debossing on the cover, and a deliberate rhythm of negative space, the book creates an intimate, high-quality dialogue between folk lyrics and visual art, where negative space functions like a pause that allows both poetry and image to resonate.
Extending the narrative into physical space, the accompanying exhibition and merchandise play with dramatic shifts in scale. Intimate graphic prints and wooden blocks were magnified to monumental proportions, transforming the pavilion walls into vibrant impressions full of rich texture, relief, and tactile depth.
