Rethinking and visual exploration of a digital archive of punk rock flyers from the 1980‘s in California. The book gives the reader an impression of visual language of DIY flyers on a basis of different types of sortings - sujets, bands, venues and chronological. Grouping the material in a different way helps to discover new visual methods and details, getting inspiration from the punk culture of the 1980‘s.

For design this quote has inspired me when I was looking for visual language: „Punk emerged as a reaction to the rigid restrictions of Modernism and its style ripped up the rules of Swiss minimalism and neutral sans serif typography.“
